Outfit of the Day

Sorry for pulling a bit of a disappearing act; we made the official move into the new house over the long weekend, which of course took way too much time (read: we have too much stuff) and left me without Internet access (which hopefully will be remedied this afternoon. Anyway, here's a photo my best gal pal snapped of last Tuesday's outfit!

Betsey Johnson bow sweater--from a friend
Black gabardine trousers made from a 1940s pattern--V Vintage
Black velvet peeptoe pumps--Naturalizer Shoes
1950s copper fan earrings--from a friend
Lip Ink Red lipstick

  1. Ugh, moving is just awful! Don't worry about us, we'll be here. :) Love that sweater!

  4. Gorgeous outfit, as usual!
I dread the day that my man and i have to move out of his mum's house, the amount of stuff (and clothes and shoes!!) that we have is ridiculous hehe.

  5. Thanks for the kind words, everyone!

The house is wonderful--it's filled with boxes at the moment(I am definitely going to be listing a bunch of clothing soon), but is so cozy! I'll post pics once we've moved in :-)

Laura--She is a good friend, though we traded this time. I have to say this is one of my favorite sweaters; I was so happy when she decided to part with it!

TGW--I hope you are able to move next week!

  6. I HATE moving! So much to do. Lovely outfit, I know I could never look that good within a month of moving. :)

  10. Those pants are fantastic! I'm really curious about trying this Lip Ink stuff after seeing you use it so often - it's much stronger looking than any liptint I've seen before.

  11. Thanks for the nice comments, everyone!

Moving is no fun at all, especially when you are a longtime collector and have too much stuff! Not that we want to talk about having too much though—there’s always room for more, right? :-)

Miss Emmi--I love Lip Ink, as you can see! It's really a liquid lipstick; it's very long lasting and IMHO, much better than the other indelible lipsticks on the market (Cover Girl Outlast, MAC Pro Longwear, etc.) It doesn't feel thick/heavy and it's not drying at all--and it looks like a "regular" lipstick, without the hassles of it smearing or transferring (and with red lipstick, that is always a pain.)

  13. Absolutely gorgeous, the cheerful coral pink hue of that sweater compliments your hair and skin tone so wonderfully!

I hope that your unpacking goes smoothly and that you're able to have an awesome December, honey!
