Berets are so cute. At the park this past weekend I saw a little boy with one on and I thought to myself "aawww cute!". Then his little brother came to play with a beret on as well and I thought to myself "aaawwww, too cute!". Then dadday came along with one on and me thinks "too much!". Note to self: There is such a thing as too much "beret" in one family...

Vintage Mama, your comment made me think of the "European Vacation" movie, when Chevy Chase buys everyone in the family a beret with their name embroidered on it :-)
Ms. B, I have a pair of Vivien of Holloway trousers in the regular fabric and they fit perfectly, so I think a denim pair will be nice for casual wear. Have you tried Freddies of Pinewood jeans as well? They make authentic 40s-50s dungarees that are also very nice.
Delightful sources of inspiration! I'm feeling berets a lot this season, too, and would certainly jump at the chance to own a pair of those amazing denim trousers. Thank you for sharing your lovely finds with us!
Thank you as well for your impute (re: my oddly behaving new hot roller set), I've looked high and low on the instructions and box, but can't seem to see a 1-800 number (or any phone number for that matter), which strikes me a bit strange! Might have to Google the manufacturer and see if that can get me any closer to a number.
Wishing you a gorgeous Monday & week ahead, sweet dear! ♥ Jessica
Great post. So many trends that I need to get an update on...they all come back! Have a great night girlie. Kori xoxo

Love this post. I have so many berets, you'd think they grew on trees!!!
ReplyDeleteMe too! I love berets!
ReplyDeleteXOXO,

I really need to get some denim trousers just like those! They would be so much more flattering to my figure than store bought jeans.

Love the colorful twosome, I would have purchased that green beret set for sure... sigh.
ReplyDeleteMarie @ Lemondrop ViNtAge
lovely stuff!
ReplyDeleteI would have been happy with the green or the plum set, Lemondrop Marie--it's such a cute matched outfit!
ReplyDeleteThen my work here is done, Laura! I am sure you'll love them--did you go with a denim pair?

I'm glad I inspired you, Laura--you'll have to report back when your pants arrive!
ReplyDeleteThanks for commenting, Jessica! I'd Google the manufacturer to see if you can find a number, just to be on the safe side.
