Makeup Mondays--Rita Hayworth

For this week's installment of Makeup Mondays, I thought it would be fun to do a vintage beauty how-to based on a color photo of the amazing Rita Hayworth. She has been a favorite of mine for a long time, and I know many of you are fans of hers as well!

I'd love to hear your thoughts on the article--would you like to see more beauty breakdowns for other stars? If so, please let me know who you'd like to see included!

xoxo,
Amanda Lee

  3. I love Rita Hayworth too. She had a great face for make-up and transformation. Because she had so many different hairstyles and colors, naturally, she had to change her make-up as well. My favorite periods of hers are the technicolor of MY GAL SAL (1942) and the black and white of GILDA (1946). Essentially pin-up girl and femme fatale.

  4. Hi Amanda! Thank you for another wonderful makeup post! I also would love to see a post about Hedy Lamarr's makeup (I think she has cool base colors that are mine as well).

In your earlier articles, you talked about Coty Airspun powder and I would love to try it. I know that they have 14 shades available but where? I tried on internet and can't find a site listing them all... Can you recommend a particular place?

    Thank you so much!

  9. I'm so glad to hear you enjoyed this article! Thank you for the suggestions; I will definitely add them to my list of starlets :-)

Black Opal--Try Amazon; that's where I ordered mine (Rachel No.1, which is a pale cream.) However, I don't know if any site sells the complete line of shades; I'll do a bit of research and get back to you :-)

    Thank you, Pink Champagne!

  10. I wouldn't find your email address so I'm leaving you a comment here. Would you mind if I re-posted the Rita make-up tutorial on my Rita tribute, www.rita-hayworth.net? I understand if your answer is no but thought I'd check just in case. :)
