I just received several photos from the Tokyo Girls fashion show taken by official photographer Mark Zemnick. I'm quite thrilled with how they turned out, and I hope you like them too!
I just hopped onto your blog, searching for images of 40's style. These are amazing outfits! I'm drooling just thinking about looking into your closet to get dressed in the morning!! :) Beautiful! Thanks for sharing! I'm in need of something for a dance number that my husband and I are doing around Valentine's day (We're doing the jitterbug/lindy hop to "In the Mood")... I wish I had somebody like you next door to borrow from!!! :) Any suggestions on what to wear for a swing number?
Thanks for the thoughtful comments, everyone! I really like photographer's use of color too :-)
Jenna Marie--"In the Mood" is one of my favorite songs :-) For a swing dance outfit, you could go with a blouse and a-line skirt combo or a day dress. Something with a sweetheart neckline, cap or puff sleeves, and a gored skirt would be especially cute--for fabric, floral or polka dot prints in swingy rayons are always fun. If you'd like I can send you a few specific outfit/dress ideas--just let me know :-)
Wow! Thank you for the suggestions! I would love for you to send me any specific ideas that you might have. We're doing some pretty good flipping... So I need to be able to move around a little. My email is jumpjive_n_jenna@hotmail.com Thank you so much!!
Super! Those photos look very French to me! By the way, I was ever so (pleasantly) surprised to see your face peeking through the little window of my mailbox this morning! It was the lovely new 2010 Able Grable calendar...what a treat.

Gorgeous!!! I love the soft filter effect on many of these; it gives your pictures a sort of dreamy effect. :)
