I have't posted an OOTD photo in ages, so I made sure to take one today! This is a typical look for me when the weather cools off--sweater and skirt combos are classic and easy to put together in a rush :-)
1950s pale pink cashmere sweater with button-trimmed collar
1950s black wool skirt
Narrow patent belt
Black patent 40s-style heels
Lucite 'A' brooch
Pink and yellow floral reverse carved lucite earrings
you look lovely..Dee
ReplyDeleteVery cute, although I imagine it doesn't cool off too much there eh? It's been really chilly here in the UK
ReplyDeleteOh, I love this outfit! I need to get some more sweaters--or learn how to knit :-)
ReplyDeleteStunning outfit I love your heels!!

I love the combination of the black and pale pink! The shoes are darling too!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the sweet comments! I love this sweater and wish I had another :-)
ReplyDeleteThe shoes are faves of mine as well—they are so 1940s—and now I’m wishing I had bought them in the other colors they were offered! Sadly, they are sold out now.
It's true, cold weather here isn't really very cold--the temps are in the low 70s this week and that's below average. It does snow up north though—of course, in 23 years I’ve only driven up to see the snow a couple of times.
Funnily enough, we moved here from New England, and left during a February blizzard. When we arrived in Arizona we thought we were in paradise—seeing sunny skies and palm trees after just coming from a place that was completely blanketed in snow and ice was amazing to us. And for at least the first few years we lived here we would wear shorts year round—but over time one acclimates and now we find the winters cold lol
This is darling
ReplyDeleteThat sweater just looks so cozy yet still va-va-voom! I love the pink -black combination as well.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, thanks for your sweet comments on my blog post! I'm generally the same way about facial hair on my mister, but since it's for this charity, I'm trying to have fun with it. If my husband's moustache can look as dapper as the fabulous Mr. Powell's does, I may just end up begging him not to shave it off at the end of the month ;)
Very pretty outfit!
ReplyDeleteIt happen to me too! I moved to California from Moscow where everything is covered in snow from late November to end of March. So it seemed to be like paradise here. Now in winter I constantly feel cold, but in the summer I can't stand the sun on my skin!
love it!! its so pretty and sweet, charming and effortless!! :D
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute outfit: LOVE the shoes!
ReplyDeleteIt was great to see you at the plane show today - wish we could have talked longer :) I actually thought about mentioning the show to you earlier, but once I heard Sentimental Journey would be there, I figured you would know about it. I love how the CAF brings the planes out for everyone to see!
Marie--Thank you for your sweet comment--I appreciate you stopping by!
ReplyDeleteBaroness--thank you for leaving such a lovely comment! I always enjoy reading your blog and don't comment nearly as much as I should; I'm flattered that you read and enjoy my blog as well! I look forward to hearing about the end results of Mou-vember :-)
Black Opal--I'm glad to hear that you had the same experience after moving to a warmer place, especially since you lived in Moscow! I can't imagine how cold it must have been there :-)
Miss Amethyst--you always say such nice things--thank you so much!
Brittany--it was very nice to see you as well! I would have loved to have chatted longer as well; hopefully we'll run into each other again at another event :-)
