A few images from the Veronica Lake-inspired shoot I did with Doug Monce of Atomic Age Pictures. The 1940s satin gown was a gift from a sweet gal who came into the soda fountain I work at, and the floral 40s gown is from Matilda's Vintage Closet. I hope you like these!
absolutely stunning. your hair is perfection. so shiny and i love that shade of blonde. the 5th photo with you smiling is my favorite. very very pretty. i love the sultry poses and expressions of the other photos too. a glorious photo shoot all around. kudos to your photographer.
Thank you so much for the sweet comments, Doug does such a wonderful job with this style of photography and it's so much fun to see what we can come up with :-)
Aw, thank you Miss Amethyst--that's so sweet of you! I'll be posting more this month to live up to your award :-)
Marie, my stylist has been coloring my hair a more golden shade of pale blonde, and I really like it. I think I am going to stick with this shade :-)
I'll echo the others...Stunning! Doug's photography is amazing and of course, the subject. What captures the 40s allure more than satin and leopard print? So Film Noir. Speaking of which...here is one of my favorite scenes with Veronica Lake from "This Gun For Hire": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a9t3ADYih9s&NR=1

Thumbs up to the pale, golden blonde. It really suits your fair complexion.

ReplyDeleteYeah I was looking at that scene as inspiration for a possible future shoot, or video.
